How to Install a Hydro Quad Water Softener

Materials Needed:

- Hydro Quad water softener

- Water filter housing

- Water shut-off valves

- Bypass valve (optional)

- Compression fittings

- Pipe sealant

- Teflon tape

- Electrical wiring (optional)

Instructions:

1. Choose a Location:

- Select a suitable location for the water softener, usually near the water main or under the kitchen sink.

2. Water Shut-Off Valves:

- Install water shut-off valves on the main water line, before and after the water softener installation point.

3. Bypass Valve (Optional):

- Install a bypass valve to enable water flow bypass without passing through the water softener (for maintenance purposes).

4. Connect Water Filter:

- Connect a water filter housing (not included in the Hydro Quad kit) to the incoming water line. This will filter sediment before it reaches the water softener.

5. Connect Inlet:

- Connect the water softener's inlet to the water supply line. Use pipe sealant and compression fittings to ensure tight connections.

6. Connect Outlet:

- Connect the water softener's outlet to the water line leading to the house. Again, use pipe sealant and compression fittings for secure connections.

7. Electrical Connection (if applicable):

- The Hydro Quad water softener is non-electric, but if installing a water filter that requires power, follow the manufacturer's guidelines for electrical connections.

8. Turn On Water Supply:

- Open the water shutoff valves to restore water flow.

9. Check for Leaks:

- Double-check all connections for leaks. Tighten any loose connections if needed.

10. Run Water:

- Run water through the system to flush out any debris.

11. Test Water:

- Use water test strips to ensure the water softener is working correctly and the water is softened.

12. Programming:

- Follow the manufacturer's guide to program the Hydro Quad water softener as per your desired water hardness level.

13. Maintenance:

- Regularly inspect the water softener and filter housing for any issues or blockages. Replace the water filter cartridges as per the manufacturer's recommendations.

14. Enjoy Soft Water:
