How to Clean Parkas

Parkas are often made from a variety of materials, so it's important to check the care label before cleaning. Here are some general tips for cleaning parkas:

1. Spot cleaning: If the parka has a small stain, you may be able to spot clean it. Blot the stain with a clean, damp cloth and a mild detergent. Rinse the area with water and blot dry.

2. Machine washing: If the care label says the parka can be machine washed, use cold water and a gentle detergent. Avoid using bleach or fabric softeners. Wash the parka on a delicate cycle and hang dry it.

3. Dry cleaning: If the care label says the parka must be dry cleaned, take it to a professional dry cleaner.

4. Re-waterproofing: After washing a parka, it's important to re-waterproof it. You can do this by spraying it with a waterproofing spray.

Here are some additional tips for cleaning parkas:

* Remove all the pockets before washing the parka.

* Turn the parka inside out before washing it.

* Avoid using fabric softener. It can make the parka less water-resistant.

* Dry the parka thoroughly before storing it.

* Store the parka in a cool, dry place.
