How to Bleach a Table Runner

* Table runner

* Bleach (sodium hypochlorite)

* Water

* Bucket or sink

* Spoon or stirring utensil

* Rubber gloves

* Safety glasses

Step 2: Prepare the bleach solution.

* Fill a bucket or sink with 1 gallon of water.

* Add 1/2 cup of bleach.

* Stir the solution until the bleach is completely dissolved.

Step 3: Add the table runner to the bleach solution.

* Put on your rubber gloves and safety glasses.

* Immerse the table runner in the bleach solution.

* Use a spoon or stirring utensil to agitate the fabric, making sure that all of the fabric is covered with the solution.

Step 4: Let the table runner soak.

* Let the table runner soak for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.

* The longer the table runner soaks, the whiter it will become.

Step 5: Rinse the table runner.

* After the table runner has soaked, rinse it thoroughly with water.

* Be sure to rinse all of the bleach out of the fabric.

Step 6: Dry the table runner.

* Hang the table runner to dry, or dry it on a low heat setting in the dryer.

* Do not dry the table runner in direct sunlight, as this could damage the fabric.
