How to Replace a Voltage Rectifier on a Deere 318

The 318 is a riding lawn tractor manufactured by John Deere, which was formed in Illinois in 1836. A part of the charging system on the Deere 318, along with the battery and alternator, is the voltage rectifier. A voltage rectifier is a series of diodes that invert the alternating current from the alternator and turn it into direct current, which can be used to charge the battery. On the Deere the rectifier is located in a single unit along with the voltage regulator. It takes about 30 minutes to remove the rectifier.
