How to Make a Pipe Canopy

Instructions

  1. Prep

    • 1

Divide the 1.25-inch diameter pipe into equal thirds using the tape measure and saw. Tape each short pipe to the inside base of the empty plastic planter so it stands on its own.

    • 2

Mix the Quickrete into the plastic planters as instructed on the bag, filling around the taped pipe. Fill level to the PVS pipe, about 2-3 inches from the top. Let it dry 72 hours.

    • 3

Drill a hole 4 inches from the top of each tall PVC pipe's side. Screw an eyelet through the drilled holes.

    Set Up

    • 4

Insert each tall pipe into a dried planter.

    • 5

Space out the planters according to the size of the sail canopy.

    • 6

Insert an S hook into each eyelet edge of the sail canopy. Hook the other side of the S hook through the screw eyelet on each pipe.
