How to Make a Greek Helmet in Half Hour With Cardboard

## Making a Greek Helmet

Greek helmets were an important part of ancient Greek warfare, providing protection to the head and face of the wearer. They were typically made of bronze and were often decorated with elaborate designs. While it is possible to make a Greek helmet out of metal, it is also possible to make a fairly accurate replica out of cardboard, a much easier and cheaper material to work with.

Here's a step-by-step guide to make a Greek helmet out of cardboard in half an hour:

Materials:

- Cardboard

- Scissors

- Hot glue gun

- Measuring tape

- Black acrylic paint

- Paintbrush

Instructions:

1. Measure your head circumference and add about 2 inches to that measurement. This will be the length of the main piece of cardboard for the helmet.

2. Cut out a piece of cardboard that is the length you measured in Step 1 and about 12 inches wide.

3. Fold the cardboard in half lengthwise.

4. Cut a 2-inch-wide strip of cardboard that is the same length as the folded piece of cardboard. This will be the rim of the helmet.

5. Hot glue the strip of cardboard to the top edge of the folded cardboard piece, all around the edge.

6. Fold the side edges of the folded cardboard up so they meet in the middle.

7. Hot glue the two side edges together.

8. Cut out two oval-shaped pieces of cardboard, each about 4 inches long and 3 inches wide. These will be the cheek guards.

9. Hot glue the cheek guards to the helmet, one on each side of the face opening.

10. Paint the helmet black with the acrylic paint.

11. Use a paintbrush to add details and designs to the helmet, such as a crest or a laurel wreath.

12. Leave the helmet to dry completely.

Your cardboard Greek helmet is now complete! It's a great accessory for any costume or a fun project for anyone interested in ancient Greek history or mythology.
