Wipe away any dirt or dust from the wooden frames using a damp rag and place the frames, wrong-side up, on a flat surface.
Unroll the screen material over each frame and trim to fit with scissors, allowing an extra 1-inch seam allowance on all four sides.
Tack the right hand side of the screen to the frame using aluminum tacks. Evenly space the tacks to produce even pressure on the screen.
Tug the screen so it is smoothly taught – not tight – across the frame. Lay wooden blocks on the top, bottom and left hand side of the frame to hold the screen in place.
Tack the screen into place on the top, bottom and left hand side of the frame.
Cut trim board strips to fit the right hand side of the screen. The trim strip will cover the tacked edges.
Lay a line of wood glue down the frame edge, over the tacks, and press the trim down to achieve a good seal.
Cut the trim to fit the top, bottom and left hand sides and glue into place.
Hang the wood screen frames to your porch posts as directed by the manufacturer. The screen frames should have included screws or some other hanging system. If these were not included, use wood screws to attach the frames to your porch posts.
