Go to your local DIY store and buy a small suction cup with a ring piece on its back. Measure the width of your sign. If it is 6 inches in width for example, cut a piece of string so that you have 10 inches of string to use. Knot one end of the string.

Puncture the top corners of the sign. Feed the string through one of the holes so the knot is on the sign front. Feed the other end of the string through the other hole. Now tie a knot at the end of this. Wet the suction cup and position it on the glass where you want to hang it. You will see that there is enough slack on the string for the sign to hang down. This is ideal for signs that you need to flip over such as an "Open/Close" sign.
