How to Build a Clothes Rack With Pipe

Materials:

- 1-inch black steel pipe (cut to desired lengths)

- 1-inch black steel floor flange (4)

- 1-inch black steel elbow (4)

- 1-inch black steel tee (2)

- 1-inch black steel cap (4)

- Wood of your choice (for shelves)

- Wood screws

- Stain or paint (optional)

Tools:

- Pipe cutter

- Measuring tape

- Level

- Drill

- Screwdriver

- Saw

- Sander

Instructions:

1. Cut the pipe to the desired lengths. You will need:

- 4 legs (each 3 feet long)

- 2 crossbars (each 5 feet long)

- 2 shelf supports (each 2 feet long)

2. Assemble the frame of the clothes rack.

- Attach the floor flanges to the bottom of the legs.

- Attach the elbows to the top of the legs.

- Attach the tees to the ends of the crossbars.

- Attach the caps to the open ends of the tees.

3. Assemble the shelves.

- Cut the wood to the desired size (2 feet wide by 1 foot deep).

- Sand the wood smooth.

- Stain or paint the wood (optional).

- Attach the wood to the shelf supports using wood screws.

4. Attach the shelves to the frame of the clothes rack.

- Attach the shelf supports to the crossbars using wood screws.

- Slide the shelves onto the shelf supports.

5. Enjoy your new clothes rack!
