1. Turn off the power to the machine.
>*This will prevent the machine from accidentally starting while you are threading it.*
2. Raise the needle bar to its highest position.
>*This will make it easier to thread the machine.*
3. Thread the bobbin.
>*Wind the bobbin thread onto the bobbin until the bobbin is full.
*Then, pull the end of the thread through the hole in the center of the bobbin and wrap it around the slot on the edge of the bobbin.*
4. Insert the bobbin into the bobbin case.
>*Place the bobbin case under the needle bar and turn the handwheel so that the bobbin winding spindle engages the bobbin.
*Continue turning the handwheel until the bobbin is fully seated in the bobbin case.*
5. Close the bobbin case cover.
>*Press down on the bobbin case cover until it clicks into place.*
6. Thread the upper thread.
>*Pass the end of the upper thread through the thread guide at the back of the machine.
*Then, guide the thread through the tension discs.
*Next, bring the thread up through the needle guide and thread it through the needle from front to back.*
7. Lower the needle bar.
>*This will ensure that the needle is properly aligned with the bobbin hook.*
8. Turn on the power to the machine.
>*The machine is now ready to sew.*
- *Make sure that the thread is properly seated in the tension discs. If the thread is not seated properly, it will cause the machine to skip stitches.*
- *When you are threading the needle, be careful not to pull the thread too tightly. If the thread is too tight, it will break easily.*
- *Test the machine by sewing a few stitches on a scrap of fabric before you start sewing on your project.*
