How to Build a Simple Model Igloo for School Project

Materials Needed:

1. White Cardboard (thick and sturdy)

2. Scissors or Craft Knife

3. Glue or Adhesive

5. Ruler or Measuring Tape

6. Pencil or Pen

7. Compass or Circular Object (for tracing)

Instructions:

1. Design:

- Begin by sketching the outline of your igloo. Draw a large, rounded rectangle with an arched top to represent the igloo's shape.

2. Cut Cardboard:

- Using scissors or a craft knife, carefully cut out the igloo shape from the cardboard. Make sure the edges are smooth and even.

3. Create Half-Pipe Shapes:

- Cut several thin strips of cardboard, approximately 1 inch wide.

- Fold each strip lengthwise to form a half-pipe shape. Glue the edges of the half-pipe to secure it. You will need several of these half-pipe strips.

4. Dome Assembly:

- To create the igloo's dome, arrange the half-pipe strips along the curved top edge of the igloo. Glue the half-pipes in place, one next to the other, to form a rounded dome.
