- 9 birch branches, each about 12 inches long
- 9 tea light candles
- A drill
- A 1-inch spade bit
- A saw
- A miter box
- Sandpaper
- A clear sealant
Instructions:
1. Cut the birch branches to the desired length.
2. Use the drill and spade bit to make a 1-inch hole in the center of each branch, about 2 inches from the top.
3. Use the saw and miter box to cut the tops of the branches at a 45-degree angle.
4. Sand the branches to smooth out any rough edges.
5. Apply a clear sealant to the branches to protect them.
6. Place a tea light candle in each hole.
Tips:
- If you don't have a drill, you can use a sharp knife to make the holes in the branches.
- If you don't have a saw and miter box, you can use a handsaw and a straight edge to cut the tops of the branches at a 45-degree angle.
- Be sure to sand the branches thoroughly to remove any rough edges.
- Apply the clear sealant to the branches in a well-ventilated area.
- Allow the sealant to dry completely before placing the tea light candles in the holes.
