* 1 bottle (750 ml) of vodka
* 2-3 fresh jalapeño peppers, seeded and sliced
_Optional_:
* 1 tablespoon of sugar
* 1 teaspoon of salt
1. Wash the jalapeño peppers and remove the seeds. Slice them into thin rings.
2. Add the jalapeño peppers and sugar to a clean, sterilized jar.
3. Pour the vodka into the jar and seal the lid tightly.
4. Shake the jar vigorously and then store it in a cool, dark place for 3-5 days.
5. After 3-5 days, strain the vodka through a cheesecloth-lined sieve into a clean bottle.
6. Discard the jalapeño peppers and sugar.
7. Seal the vodka and store it in the freezer until you're ready to enjoy.
_Tips_:
- For a milder flavor, use fewer jalapeño peppers.
- For a more intense flavor, use more jalapeño peppers and let the vodka steep for longer.
- You can add sugar and lime for sweeter/citrusy infusions.
