How to Dye Whites of Boiled Eggs

### Materials Needed

- Hard-boiled eggs

- Food coloring

- White vinegar

- Water

- Large pot

- Slotted spoon or tongs

- Paper towels

Instructions

Step 1

Place the hard-boiled eggs in a large pot.

Step 2

Cover the eggs with water.

Step 3

Add 1 tablespoon of white vinegar to the water.

Step 4

Add several drops of food coloring to the water. The amount of food coloring you add will determine the intensity of the color.

Step 5

Bring the water to a boil over medium heat.

Step 6

Once the water has reached a boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.

Step 7

Turn off the heat and let the eggs cool in the water for 10 minutes.

Step 8

Use a slotted spoon or tongs to remove the eggs from the water.

Step 9

Place the eggs on paper towels to dry.
