Fruits & Vegetables Grown in Georgia

The climate of Georgia varies across the state with extreme conditions only in the southernmost and northernmost areas that see light snowfalls and high summer temperatures. Irrespective of these extremes, the long growing season throughout most of the state with sunny, humid weather, mild, short winters and plenty of rainfall supports the growth of a variety of fruits and vegetables. As cited by the University of Georgia Extension, farmers in many areas of the state harvest two crops of vegetables every year.
