How to Reactivate Silica Gel

Materials:

- Silica gel desiccant beads

- Microwave-safe container

- Water

Instructions:

1. Prepare the silica gel desiccant beads: Spread the silica gel beads in a single layer on a microwave-safe container. Make sure the container is large enough to hold the beads without them clumping together.

2. Add water: Add a small amount of water to the container, just enough to cover the beads. The water should not be more than 1/8 inch (3 mm) deep.

3. Microwave the container: Place the container in the microwave and heat it on high for 2-3 minutes, or until the water has evaporated.

4. Let the beads cool: Remove the container from the microwave and let the beads cool down completely.

5. Reactivated silica gel: The silica gel beads are now reactivated and can be used again.

Tips:

- To prevent the silica gel beads from exploding in the microwave, make sure to add only a small amount of water.

- If the beads are not completely dry after microwaving, let them air dry for a few minutes before using.

- Store the reactivated silica gel beads in an airtight container to prevent them from absorbing moisture from the air.
