How to Build a Window Box Planter

Materials:

- 1x6 pine boards (8 pieces)

- 1x2 pine boards (4 pieces)

- Wood screws

- Brad nails

- Wood glue

- Stain or paint (optional)

- Galvanized metal liner

- Potting soil

- Plants

Tools:

- Miter saw

- Circular saw

- Drill

- Sander

- Measuring tape

- Level

- Pencil

Instructions:

1. Cut the 1x6 pine boards to the following lengths:

- 4 pieces at 36 inches long

- 4 pieces at 12 inches long

2. Cut the 1x2 pine boards to the following lengths:

- 4 pieces at 12 inches long

3. Assemble the window box by attaching the 1x2 pine boards to the 1x6 pine boards with wood screws. The 1x2 pine boards should be placed on the inside of the window box, at the top and bottom of the sides.

4. Reinforce the corners of the window box by adding brad nails.

5. Sand the window box to smooth out any rough edges.

6. Stain or paint the window box (optional).

7. Line the window box with the galvanized metal liner.

8. Add potting soil to the window box.

9. Plant your flowers or vegetables.

10. Water your plants regularly.

Your window box planter is now complete! Enjoy your beautiful flowers or vegetables all season long.
