- Popsicle sticks
- Glue (white school glue or wood glue)
- Wax paper
- Paper towels
- Ruler
- Pencil
Instructions:
1. Prepare your workspace. Cover your work surface with wax paper to protect it from the glue.
2. Apply glue to the popsicle sticks. You can do this by using a brush or by spreading the glue onto the sticks with your fingers. Be sure to apply the glue evenly, so the sticks will adhere properly.
3. Press the popsicle sticks together. Hold the sticks together for a few seconds, so the glue will start to set.
4. Place the popsicle sticks on the wax paper. This will help to prevent them from sticking to your work surface.
5. Let the glue dry. Allow the glue to dry completely before moving or using the popsicle sticks. The drying time will vary depending on the type of glue you used.
6. Remove the wax paper. Once the glue is dry, you can remove the wax paper and use the popsicle sticks for your project.
Tips:
- If you are using white school glue, you may need to apply a second coat of glue for a stronger bond.
- If you are using wood glue, be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions for drying time.
- Be careful not to apply too much glue, as this can make the popsicle sticks difficult to work with.
- If you need to reposition the popsicle sticks after they have been glued together, you can use a hair dryer to soften the glue. Be careful not to apply too much heat, as this can damage the popsicle sticks.
