Here is a basic recipe for making manioc beer:

Ingredients:

* 1 cup of sugar

* 1 tablespoon of active dry yeast

* A handful of raisins

Instructions:

1. Peel and grate the manioc roots.

2. Place the grated manioc in a large pot and add the water.

3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the manioc is softened.

4. Stir in the sugar and raisins and continue simmering for another 15 minutes.

5. Remove the pot from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.

6. Once cooled, stir in the yeast and cover the pot with a cloth.

7. Let the mixture ferment for 24 to 48 hours in a warm place.

8. After the fermentation is complete, strain the mixture through a cheesecloth-lined sieve.

9. Bottle the beer and let it age for a few weeks before drinking.
