How to Make Coca Tea

Coca tea is traditionally prepared by steeping the dried leaves of coca in hot water. Here's a simple recipe to make coca tea:

Ingredients:

- 1 teaspoon dried coca leaves, crushed or coarsely ground

- 2 cups of water

Instructions:

1. Rinse the coca leaves under running water to remove any impurities.

2. Place the coca leaves in a teapot or infuser.

3. Bring the water to a boil in a separate saucepan.

4. Pour the boiling water over the coca leaves in the teapot.

5. Cover the teapot and let it steep for 5-10 minutes, depending on your preferred strength.

6. Strain the tea into a cup, discarding the spent leaves.

7. Sweeten the tea with honey or sugar, to taste.

8. Enjoy your freshly brewed coca tea!

Tips:

- Traditionally, coca tea is consumed without milk, as it's believed to alter the flavor and effects of the tea.

- If you're using fresh coca leaves instead of dried ones, adjust the amount accordingly (approximately 2-3 times the amount of dried leaves).

- Coca tea is generally safe for consumption, but excessive intake should be avoided due to the potential risk of side effects related to the alkaloids present in the leaves.
