* 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
* 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
* 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
* 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
* 1/2 teaspoon paprika
* 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
* 1/2 cup vegetable oil
* 1/2 cup milk
* 1 egg
* 1/4 cup Italian-style bread crumbs
* 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
1. In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and thyme.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and oil.
3. Dip the chicken into the egg mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture.
4. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
5. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken and cook for 3-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
6. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
7. In a small bowl, combine the bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese.
8. Sprinkle the bread crumb mixture over the chicken.
9. Bake the chicken in a preheated 400 degree Fahrenheit oven for 5 minutes, or until the bread crumb mixture is golden brown.
10. Serve the chicken-fried steak with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, green beans, and gravy.
