How to Cut Jalapenos for Chili

To cut jalapenos for chili, follow these steps:

1. Wash the jalapenos.

Rinse the jalapenos under cold water to remove any dirt or debris.

2. Remove the stems.

Hold the jalapeno in one hand and the stem in the other hand. Twist the stem back and forth until it snaps off.

3. Cut the jalapenos in half lengthwise.

Use a sharp knife to cut the jalapenos in half lengthwise, from the top to the bottom.

4. Remove the seeds and ribs.

Use a spoon or your fingers to remove the seeds and ribs from the inside of the jalapenos. Be careful not to touch your eyes or nose, as the oils from the jalapenos can cause irritation.

5. Chop the jalapenos.

Once the seeds and ribs have been removed, chop the jalapenos into small pieces. The size of the pieces will depend on your preference.

6. Add the chopped jalapenos to your chili.

Add the chopped jalapenos to your chili pot along with the other ingredients. Stir to combine.

7. Enjoy your chili!

Serve your chili hot and enjoy the added flavor of the jalapenos.
