- Unripe dates
- A paper bag
- A warm, sunny windowsill
- A few additional days of patience
Instructions:
1. Place the unripe dates in a paper bag.
2. Fold the top of the bag closed.
3. Place the bag of dates in a warm, sunny windowsill.
4. Leave the dates in the bag for a few days, until they have ripened.
Tips:
- If you don't have a warm, sunny windowsill, you can also place the bag of dates in a warm oven (100-150 degrees Fahrenheit).
- You can also speed up the ripening process by adding a ripe banana to the bag of dates.
- Dates are ripe when they are soft, wrinkled, and dark in color.
- Once the dates are ripe, you can store them in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Enjoy your delicious, ripe dates!
