How to Make a Watermelon Margarita Keg

Ingredients:

- 1 large watermelon

- 1 bottle (750ml) of good quality tequila

- 1 bottle (750ml) of orange liqueur (such as Cointreau)

- 1 bottle (750ml) of lime juice (freshly squeezed is best)

- 1/4 cup of simple syrup

- 1 pint of fresh mint

- 1 cup of ice cubes

Instructions:

1. Cut the watermelon in half lengthwise. Scoop out the watermelon flesh, leaving the rind intact.

2. Puree the watermelon flesh in a blender until it is smooth. Strain the puree through a cheesecloth-lined sieve to remove any seeds.

3. In a large pitcher, combine the watermelon puree, tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, and simple syrup. Stir well to combine.

4. Add the mint and ice cubes to the pitcher. Stir gently to combine.

5. Pour the margarita into the watermelon rind and serve.

Tips:

- To make a non-alcoholic version of this margarita, simply omit the tequila and replace it with sparkling water or club soda.

- For a sweeter margarita, add more simple syrup. For a tarter margarita, add more lime juice.

- You can also add other fruits to this margarita, such as strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries.

- Serve with lime wedges and additional mint sprigs for garnish.

Enjoy your refreshing watermelon margarita keg!
