How to Tie Dye Easter Eggs

## Materials:

* White eggs, hard-boiled and cooled

* Food coloring

* White vinegar

* Water

* Spoons

* Paper towels

* Plastic bags or containers

* Rubber gloves (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the eggs. Hard-boil the eggs and let them cool completely. Gently pat the eggs dry with paper towels to remove any moisture.

2. Set up your workspace. Cover your work surface with newspaper or plastic wrap to protect it from spills. Put on rubber gloves if you want to avoid getting food coloring on your hands.

3. Prepare the dye solution. In a plastic bag or container, mix together 1 cup of hot water, 1 tablespoon of white vinegar, and a few drops of food coloring. You can use any color of food coloring you like, or you can create multiple colors by mixing different colors together.

4. Add the eggs to the dye solution. Carefully place the eggs in the dye solution, making sure that they are completely covered. Let the eggs sit in the dye solution for at least 5 minutes, or longer if you want a more intense color.

5. Remove the eggs from the dye solution. Carefully remove the eggs from the dye solution and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to dry.

6. Enjoy your tie-dye eggs! Once the eggs are dry, you can enjoy them as a delicious and colorful Easter treat.

Tips:

* To create a marbled effect, you can add a few drops of different colors of food coloring to the dye solution.

* To create a speckled effect, you can sprinkle a few drops of water on the eggs before adding them to the dye solution.

* To create a striped effect, you can use a rubber band to wrap around the eggs before adding them to the dye solution.

* You can also use natural food colorings, such as beet juice, turmeric, and paprika, to dye the eggs.
