* 1 cup of white vinegar
* 1 tablespoon of baking soda
* 1 packet of red food coloring
* 1 packet of pink food coloring
* 1 dozen hard-boiled eggs
1. In a large pot or saucepan, combine the white vinegar and baking soda.
2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
3. Once the mixture has boiled, remove it from the heat and stir in the red and pink food coloring.
4. Add the hard-boiled eggs to the dye bath and gently stir them to make sure they are evenly coated.
5. Let the eggs sit in the dye bath for at least 5 minutes, or longer if you want a more intense color.
6. Remove the eggs from the dye bath and let them dry on a paper towel-lined plate.
_Tips:_
* To make different shades of pink, experiment with adding more or less of the red and pink food coloring.
* You can also use liquid food coloring instead of powdered food coloring. Just add a few drops of liquid food coloring to the dye bath until you reach the desired color.
* If you don't have any red or pink food coloring, you can make your own by mixing equal parts of red and blue food coloring.
* Hot pink egg dye is perfect for Easter, Valentine's Day, or any other special occasion.
