Materials:
- 1 sheet of brown felt (9" x 12")
- 1 sheet of black felt (9" x 12")
- 1 sheet of white felt (9" x 12")
- 1/4 yard of white faux fur fabric
- 1/2 yard of brown faux fur fabric
- Sewing machine
- Thread
- Scissors
- Fabric glue
Instructions:
1. Cut out the following pieces from felt:
- Body: 1 piece brown felt (8" x 9")
- Head: 1 piece brown felt (4" x 6")
- Ears: 4 pieces brown felt (3" x 3")
- Tail: 1 piece brown felt (2" x 8")
- Belly: 1 piece white felt (4" x 5")
- Nose: 1 piece black felt (1" x 1")
2. Cut out two circles from white felt for the eyes.
3. Cut out the following pieces from the white faux fur fabric:
- Underbelly: 1 piece (4" x 5")
- Tail: 1 strip (2" x 8")
- Ears: 4 pieces (3" x 3")
4. Cut out the following pieces from the brown faux fur fabric:
- Body: 1 piece (8" x 9")
- Head: 1 piece (4" x 6")
5. Sew the bobcat's body together.
- Start by sewing the front and back of the felt body together, leaving a 1/4" seam allowance.
- Then, sew the sides of the body together.
6. Sew the bobcat's head together.
- Start by sewing the front and back of the head together, leaving a 1/4" seam allowance.
- Then, sew the ears together and attach them to the head.
- Sew the nose to the front of the head.
- Glue the eyes to the head.
7. Sew the bobcat's tail together.
- Start by sewing the two long edges together, leaving a 1/4" seam allowance.
- Then, turn the tail right side out and stuff it with cotton batting.
- Tuck the raw edges into the tail end and sew it closed.
8. Glue the bobcat's tail to the body.
9. Attach the white faux fur underbelly to the body, using fabric glue.
10. Attach the white faux fur pieces to the ears and tail, using fabric glue.
11. Your bobcat is now finished!
