How to Pour Concrete Window Wells

1. Excavate the area for the window wells.

The first step is to dig out the area where the window wells will be installed. The hole should be about 12 inches wide and 12 inches deep. Make sure the sides of the hole are straight and level.

2. Install the window well frames.

Next, you need to install the window well frames. The frames should be made of metal or treated wood. Place the frames in the holes and make sure they are level.

3. Pour the concrete.

Now, you are ready to pour the concrete. Use a concrete mix that is specifically designed for use in window wells. Pour the concrete into the holes and make sure it fills all of the gaps around the frames.

4. Smooth out the concrete.

Once the concrete has been poured, use a trowel to smooth it out. Make sure the surface of the concrete is level and free of any bumps or ridges.

5. Allow the concrete to cure.

The concrete will need to cure for at least 24 hours before it can be used. During this time, make sure to keep the area around the window wells dry and free of debris.

6. Install the window well covers.

Once the concrete has cured, you can install the window well covers. The covers should be made of a material that is resistant to water and UV damage. Make sure the covers fit snugly over the window wells.

7. Enjoy your new window wells!

Your new window wells will help to keep your basement dry and free of water damage. They will also add a touch of style to your home.
