- In a garden or flower bed with butterfly-attracting plants such as lantana, milkweed, zinnias, or sunflowers.
- On a tree or fence in a park or other natural area.
- On a porch or balcony with potted plants that butterflies like.
When hanging the butterfly house, make sure it is at least 3-5 feet off the ground to protect it from predators and the elements. It should also be in a sheltered location away from strong winds or rain. Additionally, ensure that the entrance hole of the butterfly house is facing the sun to attract more butterflies.
