Set your iron to the clothing fabric type and its "Warm" setting and then plug it into an electrical outlet to preheat it.
Scrape any areas of the clothing where the ChapStick is thick with a spoon or plastic scraper to remove as much ChapStick as possible. This will help the cleaners you use cut through the stains faster.
Place a piece of absorbent paper such as blotting or cotton paper on the first ChapStick stain. Place another piece behind the stain.
Press the heated iron to the paper on top of the stain for 30 seconds. Lift the paper and check if the ChapStick has transferred. If some has transferred, place fresh pieces of paper on and behind the stain and press the iron to the surface again. If none of the stain transfers, repeat with the same paper, but hold the iron to the fabric for 45 seconds.
Continue Step 4 until you no longer see any of the stain transfer to the papers and then repeat the paper and iron process with all of the ChapStick stains on the piece of clothing. When finished, set the iron aside, but leave it plugged in.
Spray the stained areas of the piece of clothing with a cleaner designed to break up wax, oil and color stains such as a stain remover, degreaser or dry cleaning solvent and then rub the area gently with a soft-bristled toothbrush to break up the stain further.
Repeat the ChapStick stain removal process with any other clothes stained when the ChapStick melted in the dryer. When you're finished, turn off and unplug the iron.
Wash all of the stained clothes in a machine or by hand as you would normally and then put them in the dryer. Make sure to check the clothes for stains before you put them in the dryer again. If any stains remain, rewash the clothes with regular household or color-safe bleach, hydrogen peroxide, oxygen cleaner or some other bleaching agent and then dry.
