Spray hairspray onto the lipstick stain and let it sit for 10 minutes. Moisten a clean cloth with warm water and blot at the lipstick stain. Repeat the process until the lipstick begins to fade.
Dab a clean cloth in rubbing alcohol. Blot the cloth onto the lipstick stain, do not rub, until the stain begins to lift. Continue blotting the stain until it is completely gone.
Wait for the rubbing alcohol to dry. Squeeze a small amount of grease-fighting dish soap onto your fingertip. Massage the soap onto the lipstick stain. Leave alone for 10 minutes. Blot the soap, and lipstick, up with a clean cloth.
Dab any remaining spots with a cotton swab soaked in ammonia. Discard the cotton swab once the lipstick transfers. Use new cotton swabs soaked in ammonia until the stain is gone.
Apply a fabric cleanser specifically designed for the fabric of the purse. Most fabric cleansers are mild enough to use on any type of interior lining.
