Brush off any surface dirt or debris from the shoes with a soft cloth.
Mix a 50-50 solution of white vinegar and water for salt or heavy-duty stains. Dip a soft cloth into the solution and rub the shoe gently in a circular motion. Repeat several times until the stain is gone.
Combine mild dish soap and warm water. Dip a cloth into the solution and clean the surface of the shoes with gentle, circular motions.
Dip a cloth into a jar of petroleum jelly and apply a thin layer over the shoes. The jelly will protect the leather and supply a beautiful shine to your shoes at the same time.
Buff the shoes with a clean cloth until you can wear them again with pride of ownership.
