How to Cut Tempered Glass

Tools needed:

* Tempered glass cutter

* Safety glasses

* Gloves

* Pliers

* Ruler or measuring tape

* Marker

Always cut tempered glass with the colored side facing up. This will help prevent chipping and cracking.

1. Measure and mark the glass where you want to cut it.

2. Put on your safety glasses and gloves.

3. Score the glass along the marked line with the glass cutter.

4. Score the glass several times until you hear a slight pop.

5. Place the pliers on the score line and gently break the glass apart.

6. Smooth any rough edges with a file or sandpaper.

Tips:

* Use a straightedge to help you score a straight line.

* Score the glass slowly and evenly.

* Be careful not to apply too much pressure when scoring the glass, or it may break prematurely.

* If the glass does not break evenly, you can score it again and try breaking it apart again.

* Always dispose of tempered glass shards safely.
