Cut out your fabric.

1. Fold your fabric in half lengthwise, with the right sides together.

3. Cut out the pattern piece, adding 1/2-inch seam allowances around all edges.

Sew the side seams.

1. Place the two front and back pieces right sides together, matching up the side edges.

2. Sew the side seams together using a 1/4-inch seam allowance.

3. Press the seams open.

Sew the shoulder seams.

1. Place the front and back pieces right sides together, matching up the shoulder edges.

2. Sew the shoulder seams together using a 1/4-inch seam allowance.

3. Press the seams open.

Sew the sleeve hems.

1. Fold the sleeve edges under 1/2-inch and press.

2. Fold them under again 1/2-inch and press.

3. Stitch in place.

4. Use the zig-zag stitch for the hemline as it will allow for a little stretch.

Sew the neck hem.

1. Cut a piece of clear elastic that is the same length as your neckline plus 1 inch.

2. Pin the elastic to the neckline edge, 1/2-inch from the edge, stretching the elastic as you go.

3. Stitch in place.

4. Turn the shirt right side out and press.

Finish the edges with bias tape.

This is optional, but it will give the shirt a more professional finish.

1. Cut a piece of bias tape that is twice as long as the total length of all the edges of the shirt.

2. Fold the bias tape in half lengthwise and press.

3. Unfold the bias tape and place it along one of the edges of the shirt, right sides together.

4. Stitch in place close to the edge.

5. Fold the bias tape over to the wrong side of the shirt and press.

6. Stitch in place along the folded edge.

7. Repeat for all the edges of the shirt.

Your seamless shirt is now complete!
