- Fabric (quilting weight cotton is a good choice)
- Fusible interfacing
- Scissors or rotary cutter and cutting mat

1. Cut two pieces of fabric and two pieces of fusible interfacing, each measuring 4 inches by 6 inches.
2. Fuse the interfacing to the wrong sides of the fabric pieces.
3. Fold each fabric piece in half lengthwise, right sides together. Sew a 1/4-inch seam along the long edge, leaving a 2-inch opening in the center.
4. Trim the corners and turn the fabric pieces right side out. Press flat.
5. Fold the opening closed and topstitch around the entire luggage tag, 1/8-inch from the edges.
6. Use the safety scissors to make a hole in the top center of the luggage tag.
7. Thread a ribbon or key ring through the hole.
8. Add any desired embellishments, such as buttons, beads, or embroidery.
9. Apply Fray Check to the raw edges of the fabric.
