Remove any old caulk or sealant from the shower. Clean the shower thoroughly with a tile cleaner and a scrub brush. Rinse the shower well and let it dry completely.
Step 2: Apply painter's tape.
Apply painter's tape to the areas around the shower that you do not want to be sealed. This includes the walls, floors, and fixtures.
Step 3: Apply sealant.
Use a caulk gun to apply sealant to the joints between the shower walls and the floor, the joints between the shower walls and the fixtures, and any other areas where water could leak. Smooth the sealant with your finger or a sealant applicator.
Step 4: Remove painter's tape.
Remove the painter's tape immediately after applying the sealant.
Step 5: Let the sealant dry.
Allow the sealant to dry for at least 24 hours before using the shower.
Tips:
- Use a silicone sealant for best results.
- Be sure to apply the sealant in a continuous bead.
- Avoid getting sealant on the tiles. If you do, wipe it off immediately with a damp cloth.
- Let the sealant dry completely before using the shower.
