How to Fold a Bedspread to Put Into a Bag

If summer is approaching and you'd like to replace your heavy winter bedspread with a lighter version, put the cold-weather bedspread in storage. Storing the bedspread correctly will ensure that it stays fresh and in good condition for several months. Prior to storing it in a durable bag, fold it neatly. Folding the bedspread properly will keep the fabric wrinkle-free, and prevent it from taking up too much valuable closet storage space.

  Spread the bedspread out on a clean, flat surface such as a table or floor. Smooth the top of the blanket with your hands to remove any wrinkles or creases.

  Fold the blanket in half widthwise.

  Fold the blanket in half lengthwise. Continue smoothing out any wrinkles with your hands as you fold.

  Fold the blanket in half widthwise one more time. Finish the process by folding the blanket in half lengthwise once again, so that you have a small, square-shaped package.

  Press down on the folded blanket so that it is flat and smooth. Slide the bedspread into the storage bag.
