How to Remove Mildew From Indoor Furniture

Mildew, like mold, is a common fungus that grows on a variety of surfaces and items. Mildew typically grows on items that are damp and kept in dark, humid locations. Mildew is not only unsightly, but it can also ruin and stain the item it is growing on. When you find mildew growing on your indoor furniture, you should remove it as soon as possible to keep the mildew from spreading to other areas of the furniture.

    • 3

Add 1/2 cup of a mild laundry detergent to a bucket filled with 1 gallon of water.

Submerge a cloth in the mixture. Clean the mildew and surrounding areas off of the indoor furniture.
