How to Remove Element Buildup in the Bottom of a Dishwasher

Dishwashers not only save you from the drudgery of washing dishes by hand, but in some cases are more cost- and energy-efficient in the process. Dishwashers may do most of the work for you, but they require regular maintenance to keep them working efficiently. Minerals from hard water can build up on the heating element at the bottom of the dishwasher, limiting its performance. Clean your dishwasher every two months to prevent mineral buildup and keep your dishwasher working like new.
