Carpets can quickly go up in flames, spreading a fire throughout the rooms and hallways of your house. A rogue spark or ember from a fireplace in the living room or an accidentally knocked-over candle can lead to a fire without warning. This can be especially frightening should you have young children or elderly grandparents in the home who cannot care for themselves. Fireproofing your carpet is just one way of protecting your household. Using a homemade solution, create an invisible, fire-resistant layer on the carpet inexpensively.
