Installing Knobs on New Cabinet Doors

Tools:

Drill

Tape Measure

Pencil

Phillips Screwdriver or Power Drill

Screws (provided with knobs)

Steps:

1. Mark the Location:

- Decide on the placement of the knobs on the cabinet doors. Consider the aesthetics, ergonomics, and functionality when choosing the location.

- Use a tape measure and a pencil to mark the position of each knob on the cabinet doors.

2. Drill Pilot Holes:

- Attach a drill bit to your drill that matches the size of the knob's mounting screws.

- Center the drill bit on the marked position and drill straight into the door.

- Ensure the pilot holes are deep enough for the screws.

3. Insert the Knobs:

- Insert the knob into the pilot hole from the front of the cabinet door.

- Align the knob with the door and ensure that it is facing in the desired direction.

4. Secure the Knobs:

- Insert the mounting screw through the knob's back and into the pilot hole.

- Use a Phillips screwdriver or power drill to tighten the screws.

- Make sure the knobs are securely attached to the doors.

Tips:

- Be precise with the measurements to ensure the knobs are evenly spaced and aligned on the cabinet door.

- Test the knobs before drilling the pilot holes to make sure the location and spacing feel comfortable for opening the cabinet doors.

- Consider the overall design of the cabinet and choose knobs that complement the style and finish.

- If the cabinet doors are thick, consider using longer mounting screws to ensure a secure fit.

Remember, proper installation is essential for both aesthetics and functionality, so take your time and follow these steps carefully.
