How to Seal Wallpaper Seams

Loose wallpaper seams can lead to damaged wallpaper if left unresolved. Seams pull apart over time as the wallpaper glue ages. The seam can be repaired by the do-it-yourself homeowner using a seam sealer. The seam sealer will adhere the loosened seams to the wall like new. As soon as you notice a loosening seam, it is important to repair it to avoid tears in the wallpaper.

Press the wallpaper back into place and run over the seam with your hand to smooth it out.

Roll over the seam with a wallpaper roller to ensure that it is completely adhered to the wall.

Wipe the outside of the seam with a damp sponge to remove any excess seam sealer that may have seeped out of the seam.
