How to Hide an AC Wall Unit With a Cornice Board

Hiding an air conditioning wall unit with a cornice board is a great way to improve the aesthetics of your room. A cornice board is a decorative molding that is installed at the top of a wall, typically to conceal curtains or blinds. By installing a cornice board over your AC wall unit, you can create a more finished and polished look for your room.

To hide an AC wall unit with a cornice board, you will need the following materials:

* Cornice board

* 1x4 pine boards

* Wood screws

* Adhesive caulk

* Paint (optional)

Instructions:

1. Measure the width of your AC wall unit and cut two pieces of 1x4 pine board to that length.

2. Attach the 1x4 pine boards to the top and bottom of the cornice board using wood screws.

3. Center the cornice board over the AC wall unit and mark the wall where the 1x4 pine boards will attach.

4. Drill pilot holes in the marked locations and insert wood screws to secure the cornice board to the wall.

5. Apply adhesive caulk around the edges of the cornice board to seal any gaps and prevent drafts.

6. If desired, paint the cornice board to match your wall color or other décor.

Your AC wall unit is now hidden behind a decorative cornice board, giving your room a more polished and finished look.
