How To Get Burrs Out Of Clothes & Other Winter Garment Tips

Burrs, small, spiky seeds, can be a real pain to remove from clothing. But don't worry, there are a few simple tricks that can help you get rid of them quickly and easily.

1. Use a lint roller. This is the easiest and most effective way to remove burrs from clothes. Simply roll the lint roller over the affected areas, and the burrs will stick to it and roll off your clothing.

2. Use a piece of tape. If you don't have a lint roller handy, you can use a piece of tape instead. Simply press the tape onto the fabric, sticky sides down over the areas with burrs, and then peel it off. The burrs will stick to the tape and come off your clothes.

3. Use a toothbrush. If you have a particularly stubborn burr, you may need to use a toothbrush to remove it. Gently brush the burr with the toothbrush, and it should eventually come loose.

4. Use a comb. Another way to remove burrs from clothes is to use a comb. Simply comb the fabric in the opposite direction of the burrs, and they should come out easily.

5. Use a tweezers. If you have a very small burr, you may need to use tweezers to remove it. Gently grip the burr with the tweezers and pull it out.

Once you've removed all of the burrs from your clothing, be sure to check the garment for any holes or damage. If you find any holes, you can repair them using a needle and thread.

Tips for preventing burrs from getting on your clothes:

* Avoid walking through areas with a lot of burrs, such as fields or forests.

* If you do walk through an area with burrs, be sure to wear clothing that covers your skin, such as long pants and long-sleeved shirts.

* You can also use a burr guard, which is a type of spray that can be applied to your clothing to help repel burrs.
