Instructions
1. Determine the length of PVC pipe needed. Measure from the washing machine drain pipe to the nearest drain. Cut the PVC pipe to size using a hacksaw.
2. Apply primer to the ends of the PVC pipe and inside the elbow fitting. Let the primer dry according to the manufacturer's instructions.
3. Apply PVC solvent cement to the ends of the PVC pipe and inside the elbow fitting. Quickly connect the pipe to the fitting, aligning the pieces carefully. Hold the pipe and fitting in place for several minutes until the cement has set.
4. Connect the other end of the PVC pipe to the drain. Make sure the connection is secure.
5. Place the washing machine drain pipe into the elbow fitting, ensuring that the pipe is securely seated.
6. Test the connection by running the washing machine. Check for any leaks.
7. If there are any leaks, tighten the connections or apply more PVC solvent cement.
