## Grouting Around a Drain

1. Prepare the drain. Remove the drain cover and clean the area around the drain. Be sure to remove any old grout or caulk.

2. Apply painter's tape. Apply painter's tape around the drain to create a clean line for the grout.

3. Mix the grout. Mix the grout according to the manufacturer's instructions.

4. Apply the grout. Use a grout float to apply the grout to the area around the drain. Be sure to press the grout into the joints between the tiles.

5. Remove the painter's tape. Remove the painter's tape while the grout is still wet.

6. Clean the grout. Use a damp sponge to clean the grout. Be sure to remove any excess grout from the tiles.

7. Allow the grout to dry. Allow the grout to dry for at least 24 hours before using the shower or bathtub.

Tips

* Use a sanded grout for areas that will be subject to heavy wear and tear.

* Be sure to mix the grout according to the manufacturer's instructions.

* Apply the grout evenly to the area around the drain.

* Remove the painter's tape while the grout is still wet.

* Clean the grout with a damp sponge.
