Surface Preparation for Milk Paint

Things You'll Need

  • Sponge
  • Trisodium phosphate (TSP)
  • 220-grit sandpaper
  • Paintbrush or roller
  • Bonding agent (such as Ultra Bond or Extra Bond)
  • Milk paint

      Apply TSP to the surface, using a sponge, to wash off any dirt.
