How to Keep a Keg Cold Using Dry Ice

Step 1: Gather your materials.

* A keg of beer

* Dry ice

* A large cooler

* A tarp or towels

* A hammer or mallet

* A screwdriver or pry bar

* A pair of gloves

Step 2: Prepare the cooler.

1. Line the cooler with a tarp or towels to help insulate it.

2. Place the keg in the center of the cooler.

Step 3: Add the dry ice.

1. Put on your gloves to protect your hands.

2. Break the dry ice into small pieces using a hammer or mallet.

3. Add the dry ice to the cooler around the keg.

4. Cover the dry ice with a tarp or towels to help keep it from sublimating (turning into gas).

Step 4: Close the cooler and let the keg chill.

1. Close the lid of the cooler and make sure it is sealed tight.

2. Allow the keg to chill for at least 24 hours.

Step 5: Enjoy your cold beer!

1. Open the cooler and remove the keg.

2. Attach a tap to the keg and start pouring your cold beer.

Tips:

* To keep the keg cold for longer, add ice on top of the dry ice (not next to it).

* Check the cooler periodically and add more dry ice as needed.

* If you are using a large cooler, you may need to use more than one block of dry ice.

* Be careful when handling dry ice, as it can cause frostbite.
