Measure the length of the wall where you are installing the fascia board with a tape measure. Cut the fascia board to the measurement with a circular saw; if necessary, cut the end of the board at an angle to fit.
Drill two holes at each end of the fascia board with a 3/16-inch drill bit. The holes should be on top of each other with a 2-inch distance between the holes. Drill holes in a similar fashion every 12 inches along the length of the board.
Hold the fascia board in place on the brick wall and mark the mounting holes onto the wall with a pencil. Equip the drill with a 3/16-inch masonry bit then drill holes in the wall at the marks to a depth of 3 inches.
Position the board in place and drive 3-inch-long concrete screws through the mounting holes with a socket adapter on the drill.
Locate the wall studs with a stud finder in the area you want the fascia board to be. Measure the length you need to cover and cut the fascia board to this measurement.
Cut shims to half the width of the siding along the wall. Ask a helper to hold the fascia in place while you attach it to the wall.
Insert a shim between the top of the fascia board and the siding to help keep the fascia board level with the siding.
Drive two 16d nails through the fascia board shim and wall stud with a hammer. Go to the center of the fascia and place a shim between the top of the fascia and siding. Drive two nails through the fascia and into the wall studs. Repeat for the opposite end of the fascia board.
Continue nailing the fascia board to the wall at each stud and use shims in between the fascia and siding. Once all nails are installed, run a bead of silicone caulk along the top seam between the fascia board and wall with a caulk gun. This helps keep water from seeping between the fascia board and wall.
