>* ### Step 1: _Preparation_
* Ensure that the LP siding is clean—if not, clean it thoroughly using a mild detergent, water, and a soft cloth.
* Allow for the LP siding to dry completely.
* Cover surrounding areas (windows, doors, decks) with painter’s tape to avoid inadvertent product contamination.
* ### Step 2: _Application of Primer (optional but recommended)_
* Apply a primer of medium thickness that is compatible with stain and LP siding.
* Allow the primer a minimum curing period of 4 hours.
* ### Step 3: _Product Application_
* Gently stir the product before use to ensure even pigment dispersion.
* Using a high-quality paintbrush, apply a thin coat of the stain on a small section of the LP siding.
* Allow 5-10 minutes for the stain to penetrate.
* Using a clean cloth (such as terry cloth) that will not leave behind fibers or lint, wipe away any excess stain.
* Continue in like fashion for the remaining sections of the LP siding.
* ### Step 4: _Wait for Drying_
* Give the stain coating at least 2 hours of unadulterated drying time before applying the second coat.
* ### Step 5: _Second Coat_
* Apply the second coat of the stain and repeat steps 3 and 4.
